Beehive (Warehouse) Manager

Are you the cool-calm-and-collected multitasker who’ll help us

keep the VanMoof warehouse buzzing smoothly?

We’re a ballsy bike company looking to change the way the world thinks about owning—and buying—bikes. Our supply chain is pretty damn international...

...because we design and develop all our bikes in-house. We manufacture our parts in Asia and Europe, assemble them in the Netherlands, and sell our bikes online and in our flagship stores on 3 continents. The operations and supply chain is run by our teams in Taiwan and Amsterdam.

Our warehouse in De Meern is the beehive where everything comes together.

Inbound shipments arrive from around the world. Bike parts and accessories are stored or assembled by our partners, then delivered to our European flagship stores and international customers. To keep things rolling smoothly, it takes very close interaction and cooperation between these partners, the warehouse and our operations team in Amsterdam.

As Warehouse Manager, you'll keep the beehive buzzing by steering and supervising inbound shipments, warehousing, quality control and distribution operations.

As our full-time Warehouse Manager you'll be based in De Meern, but also make frequent visits to our Amsterdam HQ and assembly partners. You will:

  • Control and manage inventory
  • Oversee daily operations
  • Ensure that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met
  • Train and motivate staff to execute perfect receipts, customer orders and inventory accuracy
  • Manage service levels, budget and productivity
  • Plan labor, capacity, and delivery
  • Connect with VanMoof departments, service providers and other business partners
  • Supervise and evaluate warehouse staff
  • Operate mechanical and IT systems and hardware
  • Participate in / leads projects
  • Manage general warehouse and facility activities

The multitasking marvel we're looking for has:

  • MBO/HBO education (preferably logistics/transport background)
  • At least 3 years relevant working experience in a comparable position
  • Enthusiastic and energetic personality
  • Ability to motivate and steer people
  • Capable of process monitoring and intervention
  • Stress-resistant
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in Dutch and English languages
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including some weekends
  • Affinity with bicycle production and assembly (not required, but a plus)

In return, we offer:

  • A spot in our friendly and super ambitious team
  • The tools you need to do your job well, including a phone, laptop and a spiffy VanMoof of your own while you're here
  • Insider experience in a young, rapidly-growing international company, with a lot of opportunity for personal growth

Sound good? Even if you don't hit all the points above but feel like you'd be a good fit, we'd love to chat. Click the button below and let's get this party started!
